SHHS is honored to have ongoing partnerships with several colleges to provide students an opportunity to further their educational journey.

As the principal since 2021, I pride myself on being part of such a wonderful institution. SHHS has a diverse student body, passionate staff, and supportive community. Education is extremely important to me, not only for our students but also on a personal level. I believe it is essential for schools to give students real-world experiences and opportunities for them to express themselves.

In my lifetime I have filled many roles in private and public schools throughout the country. I’m proud of my achievements and feel my students should be proud of theirs as well. Starting out as an English teacher I brought knowledge and passion to my classroom. As a Girls Varsity Basketball Coach, I transformed struggling teams into winning ones, resulting in me being chosen as Coach of the Year twice. While filling diverse roles as an administrator I have led many initiatives which have brought about positive changes to the districts I served in.

I believe in being well rounded and I’m happy to be part of SHHS where there are so many opportunities for students to take chances, grow academically, and learn skills that will last a lifetime. I greatly enjoy working with the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns community, whose experiences and unique perspectives make this district a dynamic and fulfilling place to learn, grow, and work.

As the Assistant Principal since 2023, and having been in the district since 2006, I proudly call the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns home. During my time here I have had the pleasure of holding titles such as Math Chair and the Department Chair of Technology.

Over the years I have taken part in amazing things and have watched students and the district grow. I’ve assisted in our school winning awards in computer science and have been recognized for promoting women in computer science. The students at SHHS have all the tools they need to be successful and I’m always eager to meet the demands of their needs.

As an SHHS Assistant Principal since 2023, I have appreciated getting to know my students in service of advancing their academic and social-emotional skills. I began my career as an English as a Second Language teacher then transitioned to a Coordinator of English as a New Language where I learned how to address the needs of students at various levels of English proficiency and academic need. I have also served as a Model teacher with a Lab Classroom, the ENL Coordinator, and as the Assistant Principal at a high school for new arrival ELLs. As a teacher I loved sharing books with my students and getting to know them through their personal statements. I find joy in witnessing students step into their endeavors with confidence and poise.

During my time as a high school administrator, I have worked closely with teacher leaders to develop a philosophy on how students learn, implemented cycles of professional learning including intervisitations, and rolled out school-wide Restorative Justice practices that aim to elevate student voice. I view all teachers as instructional leaders of their classrooms and partner with teachers to support that distributed leadership.
