Sleepy Hollow High School's Art/Media Program embraces the Common Core Standards in the Arts, fostering lifelong curiosity about art's timeless essence. Through creative expression, study of art pieces and movements, students draw informed connections to various disciplines and societal values. Art becomes a lens to explore our past, engage with society, and collaborate effectively. The diverse curriculum of Sleepy's Visual and Media Arts department empowers students to develop 21st-century skills - critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity - while connecting with core subjects. Art is not only the Common Core but also the shared language at Sleepy Hollow.
